They ran up on me and asked “You want to play tag? ” I said “Do I look like Im dressed to play tag ?”
Being that I had on a very summery outfit.
I decided to take the time to talk to them and get to know them a little. They engaged and we shortly spoke about sports, school, politics, respect and leadership.
We kicked it for a bit more and then I snapped this pic.
Their quote: Sometimes you dont need to work hard, You need to work smart !

Bushwick was filled with a lot of pride this weeknd for the Puerto Rican Day parade.
People dressed their cars with flags, waved them out their windows, honked their horns yelling prideful things like “Boorrriccuuaa “.
One Bushwick family filled their block with music, dancing, family, barbeques and momentum. Felt so much like community. The scenery was too beautiful not to capture.
Hope you enjoyed these pictures of a Bushwick family living their yearly tradition for 30+ years ♥
Q. One piece of advice you can give to men raising their daughters?
A: No matter what the circumstances are take care of your daughters. A father is not the one who makes the child, he’s the one who raises it.
Q: So what’s the ladder for?
A: To get higher.
Cute little girl on left: Mia. Cute little girl on right: Delilah.
“What’s your favorite princess and why?”
Mia: “Brave because I watch it all the time.”
Delilah: “Sleeping Beauty because I like to sleep.”
Q: What do you plan on doing with that paintbrush?
A: Beautify Bushwick
Q. How long have you had this house?
A. Since 1987. This area right now really is perfect. It’s no where near what it use to be: Slums, abandoned cars, the city didn’t care. They abandoned the neighborhood. I bought my house to improve the community, not just for me but for everyone.
